Log Candle Care & Safety

DapperwoodSF Log Candles are handcrafted using real hardwood and poured by hand in small batches. Because each candle is made from natural wood, no two are exactly alike—and a little extra care goes a long way.

The guidelines below are designed to help you enjoy your candle safely while preserving the character and integrity of the wooden vessel.

Before You Light

• Place candle on a heat-resistant, non-flammable surface
• Trim wick to ¼ inch before each burn
• Keep away from drafts, pets, and children

Burning Guidelines

• Burn no longer than 2–3 hours at a time
• Allow wax to melt evenly across the surface on first burn
• Never leave a burning candle unattended

Important Safety Notes

Because this candle is housed in real wood, additional care is required.

• The wood vessel may become warm to the touch during use
• Minor charring or darkening of the interior is normal
Discontinue use if the flame reaches the wood or if cracking becomes excessive
• Do not relight once wax level becomes low

Extinguishing

• Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame
• Do not use water to extinguish
• Allow candle to cool completely before moving

After the Candle

Once finished, the wooden vessel can be reused as:
• A small planter
• Desk or shelf accent
• Catch-all for keys or objects
